In 2011 Jazzon Alpe-Adria award will be for the first time granted for composers from Slovenia, Austria and Croatia. The »Call for Compositions« will be published and distributed in all participating countries. At the finals, on August 17th 2011 in Novo mesto, 9 compositions will be performed by a special Jazzon band. On Sunday, 22 August 2010, in the early morning hours the eleventh Jazzinty came to an end. Workshop of the Jazz Week was attended by approximately sixty musicians from across Europe; also Asia and Africa also had its representative. This year the Masterclass was conducted by saxophonist Bill Evans. He presented his musical career with an emphasis on collaboration with Miles Davis and played with the participants in a combo band.
