Bass: Joris Teepe

The bass course (double bass, electric bass) will focus on bass lines, timing, grooves, swing feel and soloing. In addition we will also give attention to jazz theory, instrumental technique and exploring the history of Jazz-bass. Vocals: SHEILA COOPER

The Canadian-born, New York-trained singer-saxophonist inspires vocalists to access their personal artistry as performers, using concrete exercises. She will also offer concepts to expand vocal technique and for improving rhythmic, harmonic and melodic abilities, methods informed by her perspective as an instrumentalist. The saxophone course (tenor, alto and soprano as well as baritone, flute, clarinet, oboe and bassoon) focuses on the fundamentals of sound, timing, technique, jazz ear training and improvisation with a focus on melody and rhythm.
